Nice meeting you, man! Thanks for coming over and working on the Sedan. I can't wait to get to drive Siobhan; she's going to feel SO different with an M50, and E36 rack and the 3.73 LSD.
Looking forward to the cruise on the 29th :)
UPDATE:
So, the clutch is fixed, and the problem was that the guy who installed it (ME) was a dork! I got in too much of a hurry, and put the clutch throwout bearing in wrong. So, Tim spent most of a day correcting my mistake. We ended up having to lift upthe engine and remove the tranny. I helped as best I could, but I find myself once again saying that I could not have done it without him!
So, I need to tap the selector rod so I can thread in a bolt with a few nuts so I can set the angle of the shifter correctly. I need to buy a new seal for the driveshaft coupling. Finally, I need to have the exhaust section just past the headers fabbed up to meet the E30 325is exhaust I bought (I still had the single pipe 'e' exhaust).
Then I'll be able to drive her!!!!!! I cannot WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :DOriginally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

I ordered the last of the parts I need from Levent at Guten parts (of course!) last night. I needed a plastic connector clip for the intake manifold, a new coupler for the driveshaft, and exhaust brackets. Once those arrive, the only thing left to pay for will be the exhaust work, and I'll be able to driver her!
WOOT!! :)Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

Strange that your car had a single exhaust, all Super Eta cars came with the i exhaust on them.
Thanks man! Hmmm...didn't know that about the SETA cars. My exhaust was definitely not stock, now that I think about it. Among other things, it had no cat!!
I cannot wait to get to drive the car! She's going to feel sooooo different, with the M50, the E36 rack, the 3.73 LSD, the E36 M3 shifter...should be like a whole new car!!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

I've ordered the last of the little parts I need from levent, and hopefully they'll arrive soon. I also ordered 2 new Hankook Ventus V12's from Tire Rack today.
She's almost done! I'll be putting a little work into her this weekend, but i need those final couple of things to show up!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

Stayed tuned for more info on that..... as well as a few other things I have been "thinking" about. Might be time for me to put up my own build thread. Or at least post some pictures. I think you have posted more pictures of my car than I have.
Hope everything comes together over the next few days for you.Dare 2 Dream Motorsports

So, yesterday I got the selector rod mod completed. It involved cutting it in half and removing about a 1" section from it.
Tim cutting the selector rod in half. I later took about an inch out of the rod with a Dremel tool...which took a little longer.
I tapped threads into each half and inserted a 7/16" lag bolt and 2 nuts. This way, I was able to get the shift lever back into the proper position, since the G260 gets rotated about 15 degrees when mated to an M50. After I had the position I wanted, I went to a local exhaust place, and the welded it in place for a whopping $7.50!
Pretty? No. Effective? Yes!
you can see the difference in angle now.
Also got the driveshaft hooked up, and now she moves under her own power!!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

How did the exhaust work go? We want this at the meet on Saturday!
The rest of the exhaust work looks pretty good. I'll post pics of it over the weekend. I still don't really know how it runs, because the drive over there was so effing LOUD (what? WHAT?? WHAAAATTTT?) I don't know if I ever even touched the gas pedal.
I still have to get 2 new rear tires on it (Tire Rack has delivered the tires, but I may not be able to get the car to the shop tire shop tonight), and the exhaust shop was supposed to do an alignment that they may or may not have done.
Long and short of it is, I have NO IDEA if the car will be ready for the GTG!!!! Wish me luck!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

SHE LIVES!!!!!!
OK, so there are a few teething issues, and I need to tidy up a few parts, and bleed the cooling system, but she runs! Hard!
The exhaust note is killer! Muscular, and louder than my SETA pipe, but not at all obnoxious.
The E36 steering rack is WONDERFUL! Everyone should do this mod!!!! So slick! Between that and the small diameter MOMO wheel, this things feels like a go-kart!
The car runs a little too warm, but I haven't bled the system yet. I'll still probably get a SPAL puller fan, just for peace of mind. I do a lot of driving in stop-and-go traffic.
The car revs SO fast in the lower gears, but does not seem anywhere near as strong at higher speeds. Like the A/F mix might be a bit off... Not sure yet.
SO happy I did this swap now! WOOT! :)Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.
